Les Roches is a bed & breakfast that has been operating since 2005. We have five individually decorated bedrooms with various views of the countryside and our park.
Les Roches is a popular place for guests to spend their holidays in Burgundy, come for weekend getaways in the countryside and stay overnight on their way to the south of France or Italy given our convenient proximity to the main A6 motorway.
At Les Roches, you will feel “at home away from home” where you can enjoy the salon, library, dining room, terrace, lawns, park, fitness studio, complimentary wifi, guest kitchenette and comfortable bedrooms. We will endeavour to make your stay in Burgundy memorable through suggesting day trips given your interests, recommending some of our favorite vineyards for wine tasting and serving you dinners in our candlelit dining room ("table d'hôte" style five evenings per week).
Les Roches is situated in a historic medieval village of Mont-Saint-Jean with beautiful views of the rolling countryside. Mont-Saint-Jean is located in the heart of Burgundy and is within an easy reach of the famous Burgundy wine areas like Côte-de-Nuits, Côte-de-Beaune and Chablis as well as châteaux, historical sites, medieval villages and many other popular places of interest.
Les Roches was built 1901 and it was commissioned by a Parisian judge. Mr PERROT built the house for his mistress and the face portraits of the mistress can be found on the hand-painted ceiling panels in the dining room as well as over the main entrance door in the form of a stone carving. The architecture of Les Roches is quite unique and the style is called “eclectic” as it combines architectural styles found in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. There are similar styled buildings, which were built during the same period, in Normandy and Biarritz.
We look forward to welcoming you to Les Roches!
